Providing professional instruction to the beginner to advanced rider. 15 years of teaching experience with a variety of students. I am always trying to find better ways to connect with my students and their learning style. Whether you have never ridden a horse before, you are returning to horses after a long absence, or looking to polish up your skills, I would love to help you on your horse journey!
RIDING SCHOOL - $250
The North Star Riding School is a curriculum based program that allows students to progress through various levels as they participate in riding, horse handling, and classwork (including take home work for students to continue their practice and learning throughout the week). Four riders share two horses to maximize teamwork and maintain a safe environment. This format builds confidence with horse handling skills and enhances learning as students watch, demonstrate and help their peers. Riding School is held once a week and goes for 10 weeks.
*Offered spring (Mar-May), summer (June-Aug), and fall (Sept-Nov)
Ages 6-18
TINY TOT PROGRAM - $200
This program is designed for the toddler aged rider and their mom, dad or care taker. Lessons are 30 minutes long and are held each week for 8 weeks. Each lesson is filled with engaging activities and games to provide a fun and safe environment for your child to learn all about horses. There are also hands-on opportunities for the parent, including a side by side ride with your child.
*Offered during select times spring (Apr-May) and fall (Sept-Oct).
Ages 3-5.
FORMAL LESSONS - $45
Formal lessons are currently only offered as a supplemental option with a student's enrollment in North Star's Riding School. They provide one on one instruction for 45 minutes to allow students additional riding practice. A formal lesson is a great opportunity for students to work on a specific riding skill and/or work towards passing off a section of their Riding Level Chart.
